my role: video advisor/lighting designer

Choreograher Michael Estanich chose to explore the terrain of his stage work The Angel and The Albatross (2003) in the medium of video and asked me to assist in the technical cross over between disciplines.

Angel has a great deal of searching through solitude and we wanted to create a visual landscape of light that the dancers and the camera could explore. This we accomplished with isolated shapes of light that caught movement from air to ground throughout.
